This song was written during the transition between winter and summer in Switzerland. The winter is harsh in Europe and when the sun starts to come out it represents warmth, energy and life. Carl remembers being in the studio and looking out of a small window to the outside world. He wrote this song with pure feelings and inspiration from the birds and grass outside. The female vocals are from guest Leonie Uhlmann who lived in the house where the studio was based.
